Check out the volume control actions in the O.S. tab.

Why would you want to? I think something in LiveWare could help you more.

Hi All!
I want to control my SB Live Value Mixer - speaker preset etc.
Does anyone have an exported group for that or knows the messages ?

I know how to control the volume well but actually what I want to do is to switch from 2 speakers to 4, and to headphones. Alse would be nice to change Task/Preset...

BTW - I use girder mainly to control Winamp - but there are 3 (!!!) volumes to control it -
1) Main Volume (Mixer)
2) Wave Out volume (Mixer)
3) Winamp's volume (Winamp of course)

I normally set Winamp's volume to 50%, also Wave volume to 50%, and play with the main volume.
Do anyone has a nice trick to play with all of them ?

Thanks, Tomer

Problem is -

How to change SPEAKERS preset -
toggle speakers with the 3 options-
2 speakers
4 speakers
headphones

Thanks!!

I use my SB Live with 2 speakers, and with headphones. I want to make a command that will toggle between the two modes.
Currently I use the LiveWare mixer to change these settings.

i would also be interested in something like this, except i have a live! 5.1 card. I want to be able to switch between the 2 speaker ( for music) and 5.1 (for movies) modes. its takes too long to go into audio hq to do it. i want one button that will cycle through them.

I have a SB Live! 1024 and would also like to have this feature.

But I'm afraid Ron cannot implement this, because these settings are in the depth of the SB-driver.

Well, this isn't a complicated thing to do - I've been doing it for years with my SBLive! 1024.

Simply go into the Creative mixer and set it to 4 speakers. First off, you don't have to ever change the "4 Speakers\2 Speakers\Headphones" combo, just leave it at "4 speakers" and use the FAD bar to control Front Rear Balance. In Girder, you should have "Front Rear Balance" volume control under the MasterControls of your sound blaster. If you don't, just let Windows Update update your sound card drivers to the most recent version (in Windows XP)

Whow, clever idea. I will try it. Thank you very much.
