I have a WinTv-PCI with a remote control 34 keys. I have to test several plugin, but the signal of my remote control is never recognized.
Which is the solution?
Thank you

Does your remote control have also 34 keys?

That sounds like the PVR/PVR250/PVR350 remote. I doubt the ordinary WinTV plugin would work with that.
I realise this hasn't been much help, but its just an FYI for the resident geniuses.

You may have to get a different IR receiver with the remote. I know that Evation's (www.evation.com) IRMan works well with Girder, as that's what I use.

Is there some technical (or legal) reason why the PVR250 remote can't be accessed by Girder ? I've seen references to the fact that a plugin hasn't been developed but no explanation as to why. There is third party software to control the card's tuning and record functions but nothing for the remote.

If it's an issue of the receiver being integrated into an PCI card, then the issue is technical -- Girder can't/doesn't know how to access the receiver to receive the IR events.

I'm not sure about that - Girder can and does work with other integrated solutions (e.g. the normal WinTV remote), so I don't see why that prevens it working with the PVR remote.
There is a remote which is hard to program a plugin for because itr sends two codes for each button pressed - I don't know whether it was this one or not, though.
