Hi Mith,
the day Ron released a version of Girder which included register functions for volume settings I did some testing and got it to work. I even sent it to Ron, but asked him not to publish it at the moment, as there is a problem if you set the volume to 0 and try to increase it. I didn't find the time yet (ok, to tell the truth, I didn't take the time ) to add some stuff to do an initial step that's larger than near 0.... I takes around two minutes to get back to a reasonable volume level once you're a 0 ... As there seems to be some interest in it, I'll try to put something together tonight.

Well, now, that I am already here.....
I read about increasing the volume of a SB Live! soundcard in a logarithmic way by using the Girder registers. I also saw a thread with example girder files showing how to work with registers. That link isn't valid anymore and I can't find any documentation how to use those registers. Is there anyone out there who could post or send me those example files, or even better his girder group containing that volume handling ?

Ah, yes, "the" man himself
Would be nice, if you could do that, yes, pretty interested in that kind of volume control. Sent you a private message over that forum some weeks ago, dunno if that came through. Nevertheless, appreciating your efforts.
