Different people like different kinds of book for programming, (i.e tutorial, reference, etc) Its best to go to a book shop and look through some windows specific c++ books and see what you fancy.

Hi everyone,
I am a simi experienced C, C++ and Java programmer, basically from classes I'm taking for my CS degree. As far as what is going on here to make new plugins and understanding the basics of how this program works, I am a complete beginner. I'm very interested in finding more information on how to get started in the advanced development process for Girder. Does anyone have an essential website, or an essential book that they can't live without that they could point me to? I'd greatly appreciate any pointers you can give me. For instance, I am new to the understanding of things like Wparam, Lparam, and what all of the settings are on the target window...stuff like that. I've never seen those details before, and want to know what I'm looking at.
Thanks-
