Yes I know about the winamp close behaviour.

Girder is using a shell hook to detect window open and close. But for some stupid reason Winamp sends a Open and a close when it starts. So there is little I can do about this, the OS reports this to girder it can only do so much.

A solution might be the window exists action...

Much easier than using command line options, is to use the TASKCREATE plugin.
Set up a command that enables the specific group, click learn event and run the program. You could make it more complicated to disable other programs from enabling their groups while another program is running, but that depends on what you want.

It will also detect programs being closed in the same way so you can disable the groups again.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Yeah, just tried that on mine and got the same thing. Also, If you do a learn event and open winamp, the middle status bar seems to flash from "Winamp [Open]" (I think), to "Winamp [Close]".
Any one got any ideas about this strange behaviour?

Well, its not the most usefull information at the moment, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that winamp 3 l8r behaves properly in its preasant state.

Is there any way a specific group can be activated when the program it is used for is launched? Maybe w/ command line parameters?

I tried that, and it worked, except for Winamp -- the program closing wasn't captured by Girder, so I just edited the .gir file manually, but it still didn't detect Winamp closing.
