Is there any way to detect the movement of the mouse as an event?
What i would like to do is use the mousepad on my ATI Remote as additional buttons. Is this possible?

A way around this is to disable the driver for your remote control -- or disconnect the ir receiver that plugs into the mouse port -- and then just use a different ir receiver to detect the button presses on your remote control.

If you search here I think you will find a way to make you ATI remote work like a mouse pad and use the buttons. There is a plugin for the ati remote under x10.

You need the X10 plugin: http://www.girder.nl/downloadn.php?Link=450
This plugin makes Girder recieve all the buttons from the Remote Wonder :D
You should also get the eventstring file generated by bitmonster (i think).
This file has all the remote events for the X10/ATI remote wonder, allready learned so you can just copy/paste them to the command where you need it.
The file includes events for pressing down, repeat and up, so you can use it to make funktions like FF/Next in the same button.
I couldn't find it here in the forum right now but i will mail you a sample if you want me to.
Hope this helps
