Alternative keys on your remote

I implemented a tricky way to enable alternative keyboards on the remote.
The concept is simple: i press a special button that during 1 second disables the default group and enables a special group that substitues the former.
The timer stuff uses the alarmtimer, so be sure to have it enabled.
If someone knows others tricks like this one, let me know, i'm interested.

Hi Mat,

I've done the same for keyboard. Whenever I hit the print button (which I never used before) a special group gets activated, normal keyboard functions are disabled (for the keys I use in this group). I use this to simulate multimedia hotkeys on my good old pre-Win keyboard (it's dated around 1986 :smile:).

how did you disable the normal keys?
I use the same setup (with the scroll lock button in my case), but when I press a key, it still gets sent to windows too.
