IR-repeat?

That depends on the model of remote and receiver that you have. Does the light in Girder continuously blink while you hold the volume buttons ?

I'm want Girder to repeat a command as long as I hold the button on my remotecontrol.
Is this possible?
I want to do this when adjusting the volume.

I'm affraid it doesn't.
The IR-reciever was like a construction-kit. So assembled the IR-reciever myself.
The remote I' using is a JVC remote that I'm also using for my mini-stereo.

I guess it must be a problem with the reciever then, because when i adjust the volume on my stereo, all I have to do is to keep the volume button pressed until I reach the desired volume level.

I also made myself a UIR using the PIC12509 and the program that is on the site for UIR, but the repeat doesn't work with all remote controls (with Panasonic is OK, but Sony - no chance). Does anybody know what do I have to change so my UIR starts working with Sony. I suppose it's something with the PIC program but I couldn't find the source of it and don't know what to change.
