Girder Won't Open....

The Girder icon is in the tray, but when I double click it, a girder window will not open on the desktop but minimizes in the taskbar. Double click the girder block in the taskbar and it only changes color and will not open.

How do I get it open?

That is strange... what happens when you right click it?

Maybe need too kill it using taskmanager. What were you doing when this happened?

Hi Mike,

When I right click the girder icon I get the open /enable/close window but when the open is selected it just highlights the girder block in the taskbar.

right clicking the girder block in the task bar illicits the same behaviour.

The program hosed up while I was trying an IR learn event in the Music Jukebox GML file and the program stopped responding and would not recover. There was some type of violation and I tried a restart. No window after that.

Not sure what's happened.

I've tried renaming the GML file I was working on so it wouldn't load, but that didn't work. Of course tried a hard reboot, no luck.
Tried reloading the app but no change. I thought maybe there was a command line or keyboard combo to maximize the window. I will ghost the drive if there are no other options.

Remove Girder from the startup folder.
Copy and then delete any plugins you have in the plugin directory.
Restart Windows.

Some plugin Girder is loading must be doing this.

Hi, i have the same problem. I#m using the 3.3 trial.
I tried to learn an event. Girder didn't learn it and cancelling didn't work either. Short time later i doubleclicked girder's trayicon to restore girder window, but i got two windows. One normal girder window and one with same Caption... but just white background in the client area and both windows were fully reactive to user input. After killing girder via taskmananger and restarting i have the same problem NoClue described. Girder works still gets the events and executes the commands, but no girder window available.

Please tell me, if you found a solution to this problem NoClue.
Perhaps one of us is able to bring the girder window back.

NoClue, open regedit and do this:

go to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\girder3

modify the "Left" key to be value 0
modify the "Top" key to be calue 0

DocZoidBerg, if after applying the above fix it still doesn't work, remove all plugins from the plugin directory and start girder. See if it works then.
