Hi,
I suggest, that I`m very new in girder, but I learned to start programs with it. I have problems to assign the DVD-spy commands (play, stop, fast forward, etc.) for the first to the PowerDVD-program. With the funktion Power-DVD-status, nothing happens. For the second I have problems to assign the commands of my remotecontrol (MSI) to Power-DVD-status. Do I need further plugins? Is it possible to get a script? :)
Best regards
Fritzi (f.mulert@gmx.net)

Hi,

What version of PowerDVD? Did you read and carefully follow the installation instructions in DVD Spy?

Did you download the plugin for remote and configure it?

Hi,
thanks for your answer.
Its a newer release of PowerDVD (I bought it 4 months ago) and I have downloaded the msi-remote plugin and I have configered it. If I use the remotecontrol, I can see the numbers changing on the girder-program, and, how i wrote before, I can start programs with the remote-control.
I think, my problem is, that I do not unterstand, how to do a relation between girder and the functions of powerDVD on the one hand and between my remotecontrol and dvdspy on the other hand. To start executables with normal girder is possible for me.

DVD Spy is not for controling PowerDVD - its for getting events to display on the OSD or LCD.

Goto the Girder homepage and click on Exported Groups. There you will find a group for PowerDVD. I am not a PowerDVD user so I cannot give you anymore details then that.

Thanks, I found this group, and also groups for Windows Media Player. Now I have the same problem with my remote control, it is impossible to create a relation between the functions of the remote control and the eventstrings in the groups. When I want to give a control-command, girder blocks, and nothing happens. Only when I`m out of the commands I can see changing the numbers in girder, if I use the tabs of my remote control. :x
