Newbie Question: Sending Events from JavaScript/ActionScript

I have a series of questions which I'm sure are totally newbie :roll: :D :

--Is there any way to send events to Girder from JavaScript? Is there any example code anyone could share with me?
--If YES to the previous question, can these events be browser-independent (i.e., Mozilla, Opera, Netscape, etc.)? Just curious......
--And finally, is there any way to send events to Girder via ActionScript directly from a compiled .SWF Flash standalone projector file (i.e., via a Flash "FSCommand")? Again, any code examples would be greatly appreciated!

Do a search under html and you will see what some people are doing.

Can flash send an event via a com object? You can also call the event.exe file in the girder directory.
