Having some difficulties closing ZSNES with Girder. Well, it isn't really Girders fault, but if anyone knows how to accomplish this, I'd be more than happy to take part of any information.

It seems as if ZSNES just doesn't want to receive keypresses. I have indeed found an alternative way to close it, but for it to work properly, I need to have Girder to check if ZSNES is running, and if it is, execute an external program which completely kills the ZSNES process (the last part has been taken care of).

So that no misunderstands occur, I have tried both the 'Close' function and an ALT-F4 binding with and without 'Alternative Proc.' checked.

To download ZSNES go to http://www.zsnes.com.

what are you using to kill the process? I've tried two cmd line process killers that google led me to, but neither successfully killed zsnes manually, nor with girder.

(apologies to all for bringing up old posts, side effect of searching for answers I guess) =)

For me, using either a downloaded process killer, or the XP builtin process killing app "taskkill", it will kill zsnes no problem, with no rom loaded. If it has a rom loaded, it won't close.

Running zsnes on an htpc, with girder, has no keyboard, only gamepads & remote, having an app that won't close really sucks =(

as I reply to myself alot :)

anyway, problem solved, emulator was running at high priority, and none of the cmd line process killers would affect a high priority process... with it running @ normal, it closes np. Sorry to waste space =)
