What does File--> Lock do?

Under the File dropdown menu, there is the word "Lock". What does it do?

I believe that it provides password control for your Girder GML file, but Mike C will know for sure!

Lock prevents anyone from loading the file and running it unless they know the password. Once the file is loaded, it can be changed.
