Sound like you have the IRman plugin enabled. Try to disable that.

Make sure all checks are off and only the TCP/IP server check is on. You can of course have more plugins enabled at the same time, this is just to test what is wrong.

I am a newbie trying to use a webpage, php and the tcp/ip server 2.0 plugin. I can't seem to get tcp/ip server to work. I go to settings-hardware plugins, select the server and click on the settings. I use port 1024, no password, add several IP addresses and apply. I then try to enable input devices but I get the error: can't read 1st char. When I do a netstat -an it does not show anything listening on port 1024 and I get an Error9: Bad file descriptor when the php script on the web page tries to contact port 1024. I've tried reading the help file for tcp/ip server 2.0, but I must not be understanding something.

Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Ron,
Thanks. I had keyboard and Silitek checked as well for some reason. Maybe I turned them on when I was playing around trying to figure out how things worked. I turned the other two off and the server now listens on port 1024. In rereading the help file I remembered that there is a caution about the keyboard plugin and the tcpip plugin. I thought I tried it earlier but at least it works now. Thanks again.
