I'm having serious problems controlling winamp 5.
I can get the basic play functions to work, but key combinations like alt-f just will not work, even with winamp in the foreground. If I run notepad in the foreground they work fine.
I assumed that I might need a plugin, but I cannot find anything on the download page for winamp 2 or 5, only for winamp 3.
I thought Girder was going to be the answer to all my problems and was on the verge of registering, but this seeming inability to control winamp is somewhat discouraging.

Did some more searching, and I discovered what the "export groups" section on the downloads page was for! So, I d/l the winamp 2 group, and it works!
Can anyone explain why alt-whatever key combinations work OK for winamp when entered directly, but not when sent through Girder? I am running XP, and I am using Girder to program a PS/2 keypad. My main keyboard is USB.

The commands in the GML download use the SendMessage plugin.

Maybe I didn't phrase the question very well. What I mean't was, why don't the Alt-whatever key combinations work with winamp 5?
The annoying thing is, I spent hours last night trying to get it to work, thinking I was doing something wrong.

There is a known problem with Winamp 5 and Nview menus activated on windows. It stops Winamp 5 from receiving keypresses.

Well, I'm a happy chappie (for now, at least) :D
I've just hacksawed the numpad off the end of a cheap PS/2 keyboard, complete with cable and controller PCB. Downloaded keyboardex plugin, blocked all the keys, and it's controlling winamp fine.
Next job is to get full control of playlists, then I will register!
Cheers
