Ok, I've searched through the forum for a couple of hours and I know there have been a lot of questions concerning Standby and resume from it, but as hard as I look, I am not able to find a definitive source to simply tell me how in general it can be done through an IR transmitter (regardless of model type or otherwise)? First, using Girder 3.2 (that came with my TIRA, awesome products by the way...both of them) I can't find the standby command or resume from standby so simply where is it? Second (this quesiton might be better directed to Slava from Home Electro as I read one thread stating the TIRA 2 is capable of resume from standby), how do I use my TIRA to wake the computer from standby. My system is a notebook computer so I cannot open it up to make any changes to the motherboard, and I have limited bios options.

I don't know the specific answers to your TIRA questions, but I *think* that standby and resume commands are found in the Power Management command under the O.S. tab --> check out the various startup settings. Can't guarantee this (haven't used the functionality myself), but this may be it.

Miked,

I couldn't find any standby or resume commands in O.S. The best I could do was when I selected "power management" as a command it sends my computer into standby...but there is no resume from standby command that I can find.

Jmm003,

Resume from Standby is a function of a USB bus.

In Girder you go to File>Settings>Plugings>Tira>Settings

On the right side of the window you will see "remote Wake up" section. This is it. Enable it, and capture code for one of the buttons that you will use fore waking up the laptop.

Regards, Slava
