DIY Simple IR tranceiver

Hi all,
I want to use this simple DIY IR transceiver/receiver:

I like the simplicity of the circuit design compared with UIRT2.
It will become perfect if we can combining it with IR receiver from Mr. Igor design.

I already asked this subject to Mr.Ian Corbett (Blank Frank) and this is his answer:
"It should be possible to translate sample files to work with my
method of transmission, or write some software to use the Igor
Cesko hardware to create compatible files. Either way, it's a
programming job which will need to be done properly to work
reliably under Windows XP prof ed, and I'm afraid this is an area
and software platform I know little about so can offer no
practical help."

I too, already e-mail Mr. Igor Cesko, but no answer from him.

Somebody can help me?

Hi,
following my post above, is it possible to capture raw signal transmitted from, let say: TV remote control using IR receiver (like Mr. Igor's IR) and save it in code and later fire back the code from keyboard with Girder to IR transceiver to the TV set?
Somebody has this kind of program?

may I suggest a proven simple circuit?

the LIRC is fairly efficient and compatible with the IGOR plugin.
