Did you set up the plugin to use the right COM port? (I hate to admit how many times this has bit me  )

You mentioned that when you try to enable the input device, it cannot be opened. Is the Girder plugin the ONLY thing trying to access the COM2 port?

That is NOT how it is supposed to work. However, I don't know why it is doing what you are seeing. Ron will be be back in 2 weeks. Hopefully someone else can answer before then.
To start up minimized, go to file/settings/user interface and choose traybar mode and then hide on start.

Please help! I received my IRMAN and installed it, along with Girder 2.0 that came with it. After getting my Pronto set-up it was time to program girder!
I uninstalled Girder2.0 and then installed the latest version. I went to File/Settings/Hardware and checked the IRMAN box. When I was ready to Learn Event, I pushed the "Learn Event" button, pushed the remote button and nothing happens. Whenever I tried to enable input devices, it can't open them!
HELP! I am running WinME w/AMD700 T-bird. I know the remote is sending a signal because I ran the IRMAN software and it is receiving them.

Yes. I have tried it with the IRMAN software off and on.
Is there something I forgot to install? drivers? plugins?

Okay.... I d/l the irman dll file and the uirserver and activated both of them.
It worked. Then I shutoff Girder, started it again, and it could not find the device.
RESTARTED the COMPUTER and it worked. So as long as I don't shut off Girder, it sees the device (is this normal??)
I do have another question... Girder starts up when the pc starts but it shows up in a window. How do I get it to startup minimized??
