I've got the Interact SV-2020 Web remote, and the software stinks.

After hearing my friends extoll the virtues of Girder, I thought I'd give it a try.

The remote has it's own IR receiver, and after testing it with the Interact software, found it to work. (I then uninstalled the software.)

I loaded Girder 3.0, the Igor, and both Serial h/w plugins, and proceeded to test them both.

Using Igor, the com2 port is recognized, and the device seems to initialize, but nothing happens. (Using any setting.)

When I try the Generic serial based IR receiver plugin, the device fails to initialize. After rebooting, it does... but still doesn't detect the IR device.

Has anyone else made this combo work, or am I better off buying a PB from Ebay?

I have this same remote and I wanted to use it for windows xp, but there is no driver support and no way to make the current drivers work with xp. I did find someone on the web that made linux drivers for the sv-2020 but none for NT os.

I would like to get this to work with xp if anyone knows how.
