Detecting Status of checkbox

I don't know if this is possible, but is there a way that Girder could check the status of a checkbox, or a radio button? I'd love to see a function similar to the Window Exists function that could determine if a checkbox in a program had a check in it or not, and would then execute one command if it was, and another if it wasn't.
