IValue and ActionType are fields in the Action plugin structure. Are you trying to write a plugin?

We all had to learn :wink: .

The easiest way to start is to import one of the available groups for your application and adapt them to your local settings (e.g. drive/path, etc.) Then learn the button from your remote to the specific function and test it. Personally I believe you can do a lot with Girder with very simple 'programming'.

Often it helps just to look at the available groups to learn (for instance power on/off via states)

Hi,

I'm not yet using either the media player nor WinDVD, but I recall there was some discussion in this forum about it. You better do a search and read the discussion :wink: .

Secondly the 2 easiest way's to use Girder are;

1) via hot-key's (Most important functions are supported by this)
2) use of the wm_command function. Select wm_command and capture the event via the capture option in Girder. This is a very powerful tool.
