Recomendations on IR Tranceiver

Can anyone recomend an IR tranceiver, Send and Recieve. I own a Tiara1 but have problems with is locking up. I am agrevated with the product now and would like to try something else. I would prefer a serial device opposed to a usb as I would like to use Terminal Services on Server 2003. Any help would be appreciated.

I have built a serial uirt2a that worked great. See the forum on here and order the parts from Luc - takes about 20 minutes to build. You can also hook the output up to Xantech distribution system using an IRLinc.
