Is there any way to change the resolution on a dual head secondry dispay? My laptop has dual head capability, but unless a monitor (and not a scan convertor) is pluged into the vga port, windows does not recognize that it should extend the desktop onto it. If I uncheck the 'Extend Desktop onto this monitor' and then Re check it, it works fine. I am trying to find an automated way of doing this.

You *should* be able to do this using Girder. Some dialog boxes are hard to target. Use the execute command to run "desk.cpl" which will bring up the control panel. You will have to play with a multigroup and target to get it to change you settings and apply them.

I found an easier way of doing it. Using Multires from http://www.entechtaiwan.net/util/multires.shtm
I am able to call a comand line exe from girder to set the resolution of any monitor to whatever I like.
