View Full Version : Problems with Girder communicating with ZSNES...

So, anyway, ZSNES (for windows, of course) is quite the troublemaker - Girder can't talk to it at *all*, no matter what. Not even targeting the app or anything. I've heard this has something to do with the particular kind of DirectDraw it uses?

Apparently this issue has been around for a while, and though I'm kinda surprised that it hasn't been resolved, I also would not be surprised if it can't be resolved, as DirectX is kinda annoying like that...

(This happens with any version of ZSNES for windows, including the latest work-in-progress 0313 build)

Thanks for any information and help you can provide!

Unfixable I guess then?

Until I write a lowlevel keyboard driver there is not much we can do.

Ah, thanks for the response!

I guess this is a silly problem with how Microsoft designed DirectX and how ZSNES was programmed to use it, that it needs something especially low-level, eh?

Oh well.
