I am released new IgorPlug (new generation of SFH-56). New principle of receiving was developed for serial port receiver. Schematic was slightly changed - added one connection (TxD - DCD).
For all users : please try to test this new plugin on more systems with Windows XP.
Schematics are included in plugin.
Download the plugin from: http://www.cesko.host.sk/downloads/IgorPlugXP.zip

i selected the plugin in the settings! i set the com1 port! i push the OK button. now the remote control should work! but it does not recognize any button or signal. when i enter the settings ->plugin again i open the settings for the igor plugin but then i cannot click anything in it. the mouse cursor changes into the occupied mode. then i close girder with the task manager! restarting doesn't make girder work again, only using the old igor!

Hi Igor,
Many, many thanks for the schematics and plugins.
Could you post the hardware changes as I don't use an XP machine for browsing / testing and I want to make the changes before installing on a friends machine.
Once again,
Thank you.
Drew.

The difference in schematic is only to add pin1 and pin3 connection on CANNON9 connector.
Schematic is inluded in plugin settings also - can be viewed under Win98 also. USB part of this plugin works under all Windows (9x/ME/2k/XP).

Hi Igor,
Will this plug-in work with the Remote Master remote ? That comes with the Pixel View card, the old serial version.
Thanx,

HI Igor ...
I am planning to build your wonderful hardware, but before i do that, I got few question ...
what is the stop bits and parity bits for the TX,RX pins?
is it possible to send and recieve data to/from the TX/RX and D0-D7 through girder?
thanx ...

im curently using your new plugin (a bit slower to init...anyway) with a moded version of LIRC receiver (changed DCD line and did the pin1--pin3 trick) work.....but...(just like the old version) there arent any "sensivity" setting... because my receiver receive like hundred or code by 10 sec... and sometime the remote button arent working... anyway nice plugin... if you can make it more "stable" like ... my receiver need to be on floor to work (3 CRT monitor on the desktop...) anyway good job :D
edit : i just got an idea... adding a line for a "statu" led... shouldnt be hard ??... anyway... i got a better receiving when puttin th receiver on another place on th desk (it dosint like my old crapy 15 CRT 800x600 max :D) work very great now !

I just finished the USB version of the IgorPlug. But now I have a problem:
I use Girder 3.3.1b and the 1.1.2 of the girder plugin on WinXP SP1 on a P4 pc and then this happens:
- I enable the plugin;
- I get the error "Warning: There may be hardware problem in receiver!";
- click Cancel;
- I go to the settings;
- change it to USB port;
- OK
- Then the computer freezes and I have to reset it.
This even happens when I don't connect the IgorplugUSB!
Does anyone know the solution?
Groeten,
Bas
