Hiya. A newbie question:

I have assigned buttons of my remote control to mimic keyboard presses.

When I use these in notepad all is well and good.

However I am trying to use it with Eyesweb (www.eyesweb.org), a

realtime image processing environment.

I have targetted the correct window but when I use the remote at the

same time as eyesweb, it does not work.

I have noticed that the code number displayed at the bottom of the girder

window changes from being a 13 digit number to being a 5 digit number.

So it seems the code numbers are changing! Does anybody know why

this is happening?

Gavin,

The codes Girder receives from the keyboard should be constant.

When you try sending keys to your app, highlight the command and press the F5 key to see it reponds that way you want. If not, try clicking the Alt Proc. box.

I haven't used Igor's plugin but I believe their is a priority setting that you can change from the plugin settings tab.

That don't seem to do it but thanks anyway.

So....

can you recommend a cheap IR receiver which works without demanding alot of cpu resources?

If you want to build one then the UIRT2 is excellent. Otherwise look at the TIRA, USB UIRT, plus many others.
