Recently, due to a number of issues I have formatted my HDD and brought the
machine back to factory spec. Prior to doing this my Philips remote had
stopped functioning in the explorer.exe shell. It worked just fine inside
MediaCenter but outside of MC none of the special MCE buttons functioned
even if MCE was open in the background.

And I LIKED this. I used Girder to maximize the ehshell.exe and everything
was working great.

Now that I have re-installed everything in my system is humming along with
the exception of the remote. Now, MCE thinks it owns all of the buttons on
the remote that aren't tied directly to key presses(arrows, numbers, etc.).
I used to use the MyTV button to call up SageTV(Multi-Tuners), the Back,
Guide, More Info, etc. buttons were also used in other HTPC-friendly
applications to navigate easier.

Also, as additional info, I have disabled the MyRadio, MyTV, Online
Spotlight, etc. as I don't have a radio card and the PVR functionality of
MCE is severely gimped.

Now, every time I press one of the MCE buttons Girder does it's job but a
dialog box also pops up saying that it was "Unable to start Media Center".

Is there a way for Girder to prevent MCE from intercepting these remote commands? I could kill ehtray on startup, but I actually do use a couple of those keys for MCE.

Thanks for any help,
Jason
