If you can use winlirc, girder should also be able to use it, because girder has a WinLirc driver. Try that one.

I have a simple IR Receiver which costs about 15$
It works fine with WinLIRC.
How can I use it with Girder?
I tried the Generic modules but it doesn't work.
What am I doing wrong? or is this simple ir receiver not supported?

Thank you for your reply.
But the Problem is that normally there's a green light flashing if WinLIRC has decoded correctly the ir signal.
And the green light flashes only after I presse about 5 times the button on the remotce control.
The Signals aren't decoded, I think.
If I go to RAW Mode in WinLIRC there are the ir signals showing correctly. But they are not decoded I think.
Maybe Girder is faster, or it works better.
The Author of WinLIRC says on his Homepage, that he knows about problems with DVD and so on.
Is there really no support for a simpy ir receiver? they are so cheap, about 15$ ready to plug in.
