Writing a plugin is easy  there are lots of examples and documentation how to do this. The hard part is the hardware...

I'm so sick of the remote control software software that came with my SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Platinum. From what I have seen, Girder looks great and I would LOVE to use it with my LiveDrive IR.
So someone PRETTY PLEASE write a driver for it!
(or if anyone has got it to work, please let me know how)
Thanks!

nuh-uh... I don't want anything to do with Creative's software. I've had nothing but problems with Creative's RemoteCenter, and I've tried 3 versions. I want to replace it altogether. Girder looks great, but it doesn't support the LiveDrive IR. There is no other software that I can find that does anything remotely similar. If one exists, please point me in that direction...

It seems that even though the SoundBlaster Live! Platinum used to be the most popular card before the Audigy (or at least the most sought after), no one makes RemoteCenter compatible drivers, i mean all it needs is a key remap in a text file really. Someone needs to do this. I was pointed to this site by QCD Player because i wanted to control it remotly like i do winamp (with the RC-900 plugin). But no there are no RemoteCenter plugins. Maybe that's because creative doesn't know how to write drivers/software?

Note, I've got an Audigy and couldn't seem to get Girder to work with it either. Would love for someone to a) teach me how to write a plugin and I'll do it myself, b) write a plugin so I can use girder.
