Welcome to Girder!

I'm not quite sure how to do this, but it really should be possible. The interface that you are talking about is a part of the Evation IRserver. Maybe they have some documentation on their website. I cannot help you personally right now since I don't have my IRman at hand.

What version of the dvd station are you using ? This group might be for the old(er) version thus the targets won't match.

The cannot load capture dll problem is there because girder cannot find watch.dll Please check that this dll is in the same directory as girder.exe

Hi all ,

I've just received my irman . I'm configuring it but i've got a problem : when i create a new device ( i call it sherwood remote ) i've got a list : it begins by # and * and 1 and 2 ...
This is the same list than the one by default called "my remote" .
I think these are the entries for the codes of the remote : u can click on learn once u've selected one .
The problem is that i would like to rename these entries , for an example # becomes power if i press the power button of my remote .
I can click on the entry , rename it but when i press enter , the name which appears is the original one ( in my exemple i write "power " and when i press enter , it becomes # )

If u have any idea , plz tell me ( because the remote of my sherwood can control 8 devices , i would like to dedicate some of them to winamp , explorer , DVD station , but with the names given by default , it would be impossible ! )

Thanks

Thanks RonB and congratulations for u're work

As i've not found how to rename in evation soft, i wrote on a piece of paper which buttons of my remote is binded to # or 1 or AV1 ...
So I'm now able to use girder, which seams more powerful, but for now too much powerful as i can't make it work !
To begin i've imported a group for the Hollywood H+ .
My problem is that it's tells me "cannot find windows " when I test a command ( for exemple eject ). There is no problem about binding in exemple eject to the right function of my remote ( the green led becomes yellow as soon as i press a button of the remote ) but as it cannot "find the window", it can't send the order to DVD Station !
Lauching the application is the only thing which works , so -i suppose- it may be a problem in the button's emplacement of the application to command.
So i've tried the button called "target" in "command" folder.
In running tasks i can see " DVD station " so I click on eject in " selected tasks subobject " .
Then i select "check settings" and click on what appears ( i don't know what it is ! )
Then Apply , but i still have "cannot find windows "
Can anyone help me plz ?

I'm using the latest version avaible on sigmadesign website .

Yvon told me to use the events ( it told me that it was better than targets ) .

But when i click on start capture, i've got a popup error which tells me "cannot load watch library " and i can't begin the capture
It doesn't works with or without smart fil enabled.
What is the watch library ?

I've maybe resolved my first problem  : the evation team told me how to rename entries from their soft . I've not checked yet as i've not been able to get a working command for DVD Station , but it might interest some of you, here is their mail :

"Hi Adrien,

Actually you can do that, if you have MS Acces on your system. To let you in on a secret, the keys.ird file is actually in MS Access format. If you rename it to something with the .mdb (ms access) extension you can open it there and edit it!

Don't forget to rename the file to keys.ird after you've edited it."

These guys are really cools !

Thanks to them !
