FAQ, Search done but how to make girder icon GREEN

Look at my signature, you must believe that I'm quite professional in questioning.

After reading FAQ and searching around the forum, I still have no answer for my probably-the-dummiest question:

- I have a PCTC Pro TV-card working on my PC. It works quite well with the software provided from Pinnacle and so does the remote control. But the recording plugin from them is terrible so I jumped to DScaler for viewing and IuVCR for recording as recommended from a friend of mine. They are pretty nice.

- Now I heard about Girder and have it installed sucessfully in 3 minutes 8)

But according to HELP file, I must have Girder icon become green before going further. There seems no HELP for such beginners like me in this case at all. This is how it shows on the icon tray:

Am I stupid enough to raise a "kwestion"?

~File ~Enable Input Devices... or hit F9.

you will need a plugin enabled for your remote too. when it says the icon should go green it is talking about the one in the bottom right of the main screen of girder (it will be blue until an input plugin is enabled)
