Plugin options Galore--NetRemote & Glissando

Hi all!

I've been using Girder and a Pronto to control Media Jukebox/Media Center for a while now and am starting to investigate some TCP/IP control applications.

I've tried using Glissando in the past & would like to use it now, but am confused about the various versions of the int_WebRemote.dll needed to run these control apps.

Can anyone straighten me out as to which version needs to be installed for MediaCenter to handle the XML control messages? I've seen the posts saying that things are borked in builds after 124. I had Glissando runnning with build 126...comments?

Basically, it boils down to wanting to know if the Glissando version and the NetRemote versions of the WebRemote plugin are equivalent and if the version on the JRiver site is compatible with either program.

Any ideas?

Hi Brad,
Sorry for the delay.

The plugin available from this site is compatible with all versions of MJB/MC now, and it -should- work with Glissando, as the author of Glissando and I merged our codebase at one point.

I kind of figured it out on my own. I just forgot to follow-up. I haven't tried the latest version from your site here, but I was able to force the old version at JRiver to install on MC9 by hacking the registry.

Since that time, it looks like the version at JRiver has also been updated.

Regardless, until I hear otherwise, I'll be installing the version available here....
