hi all

Got everything working as i want but the only prob is if my PPC shuts down to conserve power it doesnt diconnect from girder properly and then i need to restrt girder and netremote to get it up again is there a workaround by where i could get girder to watch for activity and if there is none then tell netremote to exit before the ppc shuts off of is this some thing you can remidy for me.

Are you saying not exiting NetRemote before turning the PPC off bombs Girder? Or the turning NetRemote back on doesn't reconnect to Girder?

if i leave the ppc sitting there with no input it shuts down, When i press power to start up again netremote starts fine but it hasnt ended the connection with girder from the time before and wront reinitalize. if then i restart girder and netremote its fine again.

Thanks.

Yep - there is something odd with the PPC's TCP sessions and sleep mode. Both sending to and feedback from Girder seem to be unhappy on NetRemote wake up. Maybe NetRemote could capture a wake-up and reset all it's TCP sessions?

That's what I'm doing for MJB, so I'll do the same for Girder.

Thanks for the heads up, guys.

Hi guys.

RC5 should reset the girder connections. Please let me know if this resolves the issues.

Thanks guys!

Looks like it's working (for me at least) - it takes a while (30 secs or so) to get back on it's feet, but then continues ok with feedback.

Same here it all seems to be fine now but with a little delay but its very un-noticeable for the user on the pocket pc. Thanks
