View Full Version : Access to TV in Media Center

Hi, Ben!
As if your life isn't complicated enough I would really like to be able to start the TV from NetRemote, instead of having to use Pebbles. Is it possible, or is this one of those things we can't expect? I thought about using Girder, but it's not practical since I have TV cards on two of my computers. 8)

Mastiff, that is what we need passthrough IR and the USB-UIRT for....LOL With that it is cake!

Actually no, this just shows that I need to write all the stuff I'm thinking, not just a fraction of it. I was refering to the TV part of Media Center. Ben?

I'm not sure if the API that MediaCenter exposes lets me do things with TV.

I've just asked Matt if Media Center exposes this functionality to the SDK. I'll let you know.

I think Matt and his crew are extremely busy. I also haven't heard back regarding the version of RemoteServer that I sent him.

Unfortunately now it seems they're focused on MC 9.1, which I don't feel comfortable pushing people towards, so I've made available my RemoteServer.dll.

Thanks! I'll have a look at the new version later today. btw I tried 9.1, and the PPC version did not load the library or playing now. I'll see when I have the new remote server, maybe 9.1 works then. I'm an early adapter, and I always end up hurting for it, but I can't stop it... :lol:
