Hey, this program really works! I got correct data from remote under Windows 2000. Other programs and pluings just access via Windows Com-port and it works only with W9x.

I'm using Asus IRM-100 IrDA module plugged to my Asus mobo with 5-pin connector. Remote is from 16 years old TV and it works best at the speed of 19.2kbps.

I don't know much about programming and operation systems but there seems to be direct support for SIR IrDA ports in LIRC (http://www.lirc.org/irda.html) allready. I haven't test it, but I guess it works.

All we need is that you develope a real IrDA hardware plugin

Yipe, my onboard IR does have life in XP.

Next question, how do I use this new knowledge to control stuff with a TV remote?

Thanks.
