Girder to control ATI DVD player

I really need someone to walk me through adding these commands into girder. WinLIRC works great for Winamp w/ my Packard Bell remote - but I want to be able to launch WinAmp from the remote & also launch DVD's & control play/pause/stop/ff/rew, etc.
