Hi Guys,
I have just purchased a PPC for use with netremote, but I was wondering if there are any good applications/games/anything else that I could have on the PPC for when I am not using netremote?
Cheers

GS player for playing mp3s and online radio on the PDA over networks (Media Player SUCKS in comparison ... I just wish I could delete that piece of s..t to save some memory).
Lost the link, but use google!
Total Commander CE
Excellent file handlig tool (I also recommend it in normal windows.. I cannot live without it!)

Do you have a video capture card? Go get the MS Media encoder and stream live TV over 802.11b to the Media Player on the PPC. Why should going to the toilet mean you need to miss whatever you watching?

What encoder should I download to test?
Will 9 work on ppc2002?
Not sure how the encode works (dshow filter?) (have not looked at it yet).
I do have a DVB-C card for my cable .. if it could hook into that one
it would be cool?

WME 9 will encode as 8 - just do a search on microsoft.com. Not quite sure what the latest PPC Media player is. It was all pretty plug-n-play with my ATI AIW's capture card.

I recommend Resco Explorer to replace the PPC200x's horrible file manager, Battery Pack 2003 for a decent desktop launcher/system stats, and WithMP3 for mobile tunes. Oh, and Ministumbler for war drivage.
