I'm fairly new to netremote, but so far everything has been straightforward. Installing the NR ppc/win32 and controlling MC9 was very easy and went w/no problems.
My next goal is to adapt this (http://www.theatertek.com/forums/showthread.php?s=5a4545cc249cd809cd3f7693664d29cf&threadid=4782) ccf (designed for theatertek control) to control PowerDVD and/or WinDVD, both of which I already own. I'm having a difficult time finding a straightforward source of information on how to do that. I believe that ccf is setup for IR commands, and as I own a e740, I imagine I want to switch those to IES commands, yes?
Thanks for any help fellas...

You are correct, you need to change the CCF Buttons to send IES Commands to Girder.
I Sugest you check out Z.Mash page (from Support link) on how to get started creating your CCF.
You can always find alot of information on Girder on their forum, as well as gml already created for both PowerDVD and WInDVD

Using the ZMash page as a guide...here's what I *think* I should do...tell me where I screw up.
Open the TT ccf in Pronto (if you've done that it appears to me that whomever created that ccf did it skillfully and first mapped out all the possible commands to buttons on a dummy panel, then designed the viewable panel and called those buttons as aliases) and, here's the first place I become confused.
Do I change *all* the IR data to "5001 0000 0000 0002 ffff 0000 0001 0000"?
Assuming that's the case, I then have to edit the "event string" in Girder to reflect whatever I named the button in Tonto?
Wow...I'm more confused now than when I started...

Its not that complicated once you understand the basics.
I haven't downloaded the specific CCF you are trying to modify so I can't help you on how its set up. What I would suggest if you want to use the buttons and visuals of thet CCF is just copy the specific device panel to a new CCF and modify the buttons to send Girder events.
So for instance if you have a button for Play, open the button, remove any code it had and put an IR code with "5001 0000 0000 0002 FFFF 0000 0001 0000" this tells NR to send the button name as an internet event to Girder. So for instance I would name the button "PowerDVD.Play" or something like that.
and the just learn a new Internet event in your gml Play command for PowerDVD and type that "PowerDVD.PLay"
Does that make sence?
