What are you guys using as IR emitters with the Global Caché?
In the doc (sheet) that comes with it, there is a little schematic:
1 IR LED (no reference) and 1 resistor.
I could solder somthing to test it out but I don't want to "fry" everything and I'm not really into hardware.

Also, Global Caché web site says a cable to connect to a Xantech distribution system will be available soon but has anybody already made something like that?

Thanks,
Eric.

Hi Eric - I just use regular xantech style flashers like the ones seen here at Smarthome (http://www.smarthome.com/8170.html). These work fine.

I've often wondered if I could take a flasher, cut the head off, and then run the wires into the IR in on my Buffalo device. That would allow me to keep IR control via the receiver and via the GlobalCache/Slinke.

Thanks,

I got a couple of Xantech ones lying around, I'll give them a try...
