SIMpad IRDA-Port released

Hi Ben,

to get the Irda-Port open on the SIMPad go to the following registry key:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OBEX

And insert an entry Dword: IsEnabled=0

After that perform a reset. This will free the Com-Port. Nevertheless I would not recommend doing so, because NR leaves the LED on after the first code.This will definetly burn the SIMPad's transmitter diode since it is a high current design. So be careful!

BTW: Pdawin has no problems with that setting so I suppose they use another methode of accessing the IRDA port.

Thanks Wilhelm, I'll take a look.

The funny thing sometimes I can open the port (on my own unit) and sometimes not. The IR effort with the simpad will continue when 0.995 settles down and is working.
