Hoping someone can help me out.

I using an IPAQ 3650, and while I know it displays just over 4000 colors, the colors don't translate well from tonto to ipaq. A nice blue shade is more like an off aqua. UGH! I'd love to get dirty and design some nice screens, but this just won't do. I have noticed that others are using the ipaq series. Is there a patch that can fix this? Or an optimized palette someone can send me? Thanks

Do the graphics look okay? Is it the Tonto palette that doesn't show up but graphics do? If so you can do everything with 32 bit graphics and avoid the 8 bit graphics and the Tonto palette altogether.

Unfortunately Ben, it's a system limitiation. If you display the images in explorer it looks the same :(

I've done some reading on it, and it looks like there were some graphics programs for the ipaq series that do special dithering techniques to make up for the lack of colors. But you get banding without that kind of stuff.

Sucks, but there doesn't appear to be another solution.

It's okay though. I'll just have to design my graphics so they look good on the ipaq, and use alot of solid color schemes, instead of smooth gradients, etc.

Thanks for asking, though.
