Yeah I think the step size gets overriden when you select the channel,... should we call this a bug or a quirk ?

Are you putting the step size value in first and then clicking the volume button. If so, try it the other way round.
I am sure volume dialog used to put the step size value into the step size box on pressing ok. Is this broken Ron?

I think this has to be called a bug this time because it overwrites the value with nothing. I was just trying it and even if there has been nothing in the step size box before, the default 2621 doesn't get put in the box like it used to. (or did I imagine that?)

A month ago I posted about a problem with the aligment of the OSD checkbox on the OS tab when Icons on the action tabs are turned off and you (Ron) promised that you'll fix this. I don't want to offend you but will you fix it this time. I know that you have a lot of work to do but I'm a conservative guy and don't like those icons ))
I found another design bug again connected to the icons: when they are off and you press the Girder tab the Edit for the command comment moves down and over the red box for the IR Code.
I think you should consider a little test with the action tabs icons OFF.
I don't know if this is a XP bug and how it could be fixed but in WinXP the title bar is heigher then in Win98 and this affects the forms (I saw it on the settings form for the UIR Plug In)

Hi,
i have the same problem than with previous versions... the step size is not remembered... it works fine after applying/saving and everything...
But i think it will be really better if the step size (2621 and -2621 for me) is shown after that...
The command is really working but if i want to know the value i have (or just kicking that OSD that disturbing me without lose the step size)...

Hi I have just started using Girder, and all I can say is excellent.
I have one small problem, I can't get Girder to lower or raise the volume, Mute works fine.
I set it up to Volume Change on the OS tab I select the Master Volume Control from the Volume button. I put in a negative step size for decreasing the volume obviously! Then tell it the command, but upon pressing the button on the remote it clears the step size from that commands os tab and doesn't affect the volume! Any ideas what is wrong? I am using a Terratec SixPack 5.1+ sound card, thanks.
Also is there any way to edit the OSD? Could you add the option to have an OSD to display which group has been activated as I have several groups set up and it would be useful to see from a distance which one I have just activated instead of trying to guess!

Yes! I have my moments of stupidity but not this time!
But now you have mentioned it I checked and it doesn't even save it when you apply.
I don't know if this is important but when you choose master volume it comes back with Volume ID 0 which I assume is just a reference number.

It works well, one thing you can't edit the step size in the Step Size box on the OS tab, it doesn't seem to save it, so if you want to change it you have to go to the Volume box.
Is there a way to get it to repeat while the button is down?

Create the command.
On the OS tab select Volume Change
Click Volume button
Select the one it is, Girder will enter a step size, if you want to decrease the volume add a - to the front of it.
Click apply
Teach Girder the button
Save the file and see if it works, I have found that it isn't the most responsive of things but then I guess if you play with the step size you can make it better.
For some reason it doesn't seem to display the step size after you have used the command (once you have changed the volume) but it still appears to work.
