Where does NR takes the cover art from?

where does NR get its cover art from? I am trying to solve my bug with covers not displaying correctly and I think I am onto something...

Do you know if MC sends the cover art from its data/cover art directory or is it being extracted from the APE file everytime anew?

I believe it is extracting from the APE file each time.

If there is a thumbnail available, it will use it, but only if you have < Extra Large images selected.
