Hi Ben,

I seem to have found a bug. With the MediaBridge I get an error whenever I try to refer to Playing Now, eg. when I'm doing a GAC scheme pointing at Playing Now.

I never had this problem when MediaBridge was JRMC though.

Cheers,
Jens

Ps. I had the same problem with both the 29th and the 17th of August releases.

So when trying to view playing now in a GAC, you get an error? What is the error you get?

NR dies on me. Completely. On the PPC version it just kills the app in an instant, on the Win32 version a Windows error window comes up.

The thing is, I have setup a panel which I can use to browse the JRMC Media Library with, and if I go to the root it won't even find "Playing Now", so I'm not surprised it dies on me. So I guess it's either something different with the latest Remoteserver.dll or the drv_mediabridge.dll..

Are you sure you have the latest remoteserver.dll? Installing a new build of JRMC will overwrite it with an old one.

Are you sure it's not an error in your ccf? Try OpusNr as a test as that has GAC (Playlist tab) and I know it works. You will need to edit the GAC.Scheme path on the Playlist button on the 'macros\new panel' panel.

Yes, I have the latest remoteserver.dll and my ccf is correct, it worked before and I even tried a different one. The problem seem to be that either remoteserver.dll or drv_mediabridge.dll can't find "Playing Now" when I use it in the IR name:

MP.GACScheme,Playing Now;Set GAC Parent

It works perfectly if I point anywhere else, such as

MP.GACScheme,Media Library\Audio\Albums;Set GAC Parent

and it worked before I cleaned my registry and hence changed from the JRMC driver to the Mediabridge driver. I also reinstalled the Win32 client at the same time as I did this, so I assume the remoteserver.dll got written over at the same time, that's why I can't tell whether it's the driver or the remoteserver.dll that's not working. Unfortunately I can't find any old remoteserver.dll's on my computer after my latest harddrive crash, so I can't test it with an older version of remoteserver either.

Correction, I just found an old version, the one dated 2004-02-22 and it works perfect. So it's definitely in the remoteserver.dll.

Cheers,
Jens
