View Full Version : NetRemote locks up my Pocket PC while in cradle

I have a Del Axim X5 (PXA255 processor and MS Pocket PC 2002), which I have loaded NetRemote (LE Suite) onto. I plan on using the Axim at my home for controling J River once I get my wireless system functioning. I am also currently using the Axim and NetRemote at work (with no wireless connection -- it sits in the cradle) as a second monitor on which to display song information for J River.

Unfortunately, NetRemote rarely makes it more than an hour without locking up the Axim. By locking up, I mean that the display freezes, and I am unable to close the program or otherwise revive the unit without a soft reset.

Any ideas on a resolution for this? Thanks.

On my Ipaq (as I did with my PocketLoox before) I can from time to time see any kind of program freeze after a while in the cradle. Usually removing the unit from the crable unfreezes the program, but not always. I think this is an ActiveSync problem.

Thanks Mastiff. I realize that using NetRemote in the cradle is kind of a non-standard use. Maybe I will install a wireless access point in the office as well -- ActiveSync and the USB connection are somewhat of a headache if many ways.

Good idea. Those WAPs are so cheap these days it's incredible. Here we can get them for around 50 dollars.
