MM Keyboard Help

Maybe someone can point me in the right direction here. My system has Win XP and am using girber with a packard bell remote. That part works okay. I also have a PS/2 IBM Rapid Access I multi media type keyboard. There are no XP drivers and the 98/NT drivers wont work. I am trying to trap the special keys in gerder (kind of like using GIRDER as a driver). Even with keylogging enablesd the multimedia keys don't register. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do or where I should look.

on my keyboard if the little app thing is running that catches the keys it passes the same string to girder regardless of whats pressed, with it closed it works fine.
