I haven't got a clue what is causing this.

Could this be a power saving thing? ACPI or APM or whatever it is called today?

Under: file>settings>hardware plugins>
check that 'Disable plugins on APM event' is NOT checked. This should tell you whether it is an ACPI/APM thing.

This happens to me too. At first I thought it was with PowerDVD (version 4) alone, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. I have had the time to isolate the problem, but an option along the lines of "If girder hasn't received an ir command within x [configurable] minutes, reset device".

Now what exactly reset is, I don't know. But I do know it works when the device is disabled then re-enabled..

I'm using an AST/Logitech/whatever remote with win2k on an abit (440bx) motherboard.

I turned that off a couple days ago when I was trying to get it to work, but haven't really had the chance to test it.. I'll let you guys know soon

Unfortunately, this didn't solve my problem.. It stopped working under Windows Media Player yesterday.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but Girder just doesn't recognize key presses any more.. I don't think it has anything to do with power management, since it stopped working just minutes after i last pressed a button on it.

Any thoughts?

Girder stops receiving commands and i must enable input devices to get it work again.I'm using WinXP and RealMagic Remote Control.
Anyone know how to solve this ?

Damn..
I have heard that some ir-programs wont work with older Gigabyte motherboards.Maybe Girder has the same problem.
