Does anyone know if the prolink playtv@7000 remote works with girder? I guess I should ask if the IR reciever works with girder? Link: http://www.prolink.com.tw/english/products/multimedia/PixelView%20PlayTV@P7000.htm. The IR reciever plus into the PCI tuner card if that makes any difference. I am hoping to use this remote with Meedio and SageTV both of which cite girder compatibility. Thank you for any guidance!

I am guessing that this remote will not work with Girder without a specific plugin. There doesn't seem to be any documentation about the remote or how it works.

Thanks for the reply! Is there any information I can provide? I do have the PDF manual for the card and it has a section for the remote. I'll try and attach the relevant portion here.

There might be away to have their software send events to girder.. can you configure the buttons?
However, I think you will be much better off with a different remote that works directly within Girder.

I have the remote than came with my AIW 7500 but its kind of a pain to use. ;) I haven't built this computer yet. Hopefully I'll finish putting it together by the end of the weekend but I remember that I could assign the remote to different things based on the app. Thanks again! I'll give that a try when I get this box built! I'll post if I have more questions or am sucessful.

shooting an ancient topic back on top... but just want to know if the p7000 remote can work with girder without it's own software (so just driver installation). It is still off the supported hardware list so...

Does it show up as a HID device in the system manager?

unfortunately not; it is shown as PV Center Cx2388x Infrared decoder in sound, video and game controllers...
