When I hold down a button (volume for example) i dont see the light in girder flashing.. instead it flashes only when I let go of the button.
Is there any way for girder to know that I'm holding the button down?
I'm thinking there must be, because my car deck (which the remote is for) will continue to raise the volume level until I let go of the button.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

What IR receiver?
Is there an event when you let go of the button?

I fyou install the Logger plugin, you can see if hte press and release are two different events. If they are, something can be done to make a repeat.

Okay, I'll bite :)
This is one thing I never got setup correctly. I am using the usb-uirt transceiver with a TiVo peanut-remote. I get two different codes, one on push, and one on release. I messed around with the Button Mode Plug-in a long time ago, never got it working right, havent touched it since.
Pressing volume down : 4309501554F0
Releasing volume button: 434B111154F5
Holding down the button, the receiver's LED blinks continuously. The logger, however, only shows one event, even with the button held down.

I think it is your receiver that codes it this way.
anyway, you could have something that does "start a continuous process" when you press down, and another that "stop the continuous process" when you release...
I use that for my button interface - only down and up events.

I was thinking that it would be the remote not sending out repeating commands like the x10/ATI remotes do. Guess it could be the receiver or a combination thereof. Like the remote sending out short bursts to fast.
