I installed the latest JR Mediacenter beta v11 and now i cannot get the netremote plug in to function any longer. I tried re installing v10 and still cannot get it to funtion...but i have not uninstalled v11. Is there some reason that it shouldn;t work with v11? any patches available....much happier with JR v11.....help?

You need to reinstall NR on the machine that's running JRMC because installing JRMC will overwrite remoteserver.dll in the MC programs files directory.

J.Lee, that would be true if he could control playback, and not library. But the remoteserver.dll with JRMC 11 isn't that old. My guess is that it's a port setting. You'll find that under Tools, Options, Startup settings, Run RemoteServer on port: xxxxx Then you click on that line and write the exactly same port that you have in the Media Bridge plug-in setup. That should do it.

Maybe so but the auto discovery features of NR1.0 *should* remove the need for this.

...but I still bet you're right. D'oh

That auto discovery never worked very well for me - it only found JRMC on the same computer as the one I was running NetRemote on. Maybe he has a network that's as strange as mine... Anyway, what happens is that he installs JRMC first, then NetRemote. On the first run of NR the success rate of autodiscovery may be higher than on subesquent runs. When he installs JRMC 11 it will replace the port whit whatever's the default. Then, when he tries to re-install 10, it will again be with the default port. Anyway, that's my guess.
